SUPPORT SERVICES
People experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness can call 1800 825 955 24 hrs a day to speak with a housing and support worker.
They will be directed to the access point service that is closest to them.

Access Point Services in the West Metro Region:

  • SASHS Western in Sunshine

Homelessness Advocacy Service (HAS) – CHP 
Advice and information service for consumers seeking or receiving assistance from any Victorian community-managed homelessness assistance or social housing service.

Peer Education Support Program – CHP
The Peer Education Support Program (PESP) is a volunteer program that provides people who have experienced homelessness with the opportunity to improve the service system.
PESP activities include:

    • consumer participation training and advice – including Understanding Homelessness Training (1.5hrs)
    • group and individual presentation
    • peer facilitation of focus groups, interviews or surveys
    • consultation with all levels of government
